Investing in A Jewish Future at Indiana University

Let’s Build a New Jewish Home at IU Together

IU Hillel is on the cusp of a new era with a brand-new building in the middle of campus. Not only will this encourage Jewish students at IU to participate in the Hillel offerings, but it will undoubtedly serve as a reason for Jewish students to come to IU.
— Sheri Rosen, Proud IU Parent, Class of 2027

Our goal is to raise $10 million to begin construction on our new Hillel Center

We’re Growing

The Jewish student population at IU has more than doubled in the past 25 years, from 2,000 to over 4,500. Today, Jewish Hoosiers make up a vibrant and vital part of campus life.

We’re Outgrowing Our Space

Our current building, built in 1993, can no longer meet the needs of today’s students, and cannot be renovated to accommodate our growing programs, student interest, and accessibility standards.

Location, Location, Location!

Our new home will sit at 11th & Woodlawn - right in the heart of IU. Just steps away from:

  • Kelley School of Business

  • O’Neill School of Public & Environmental Affairs (SPEA)

  • Psychology & Informatics buildings

Close to Community

We’ll be surrounded by key student life hubs, including Foster, Briscoe, McNutt, Walnut Grove, and Collins, plus the heart of IU’s Greek LIFE community.

Elevating Jewish Life at IU

Our new space will be more than just a building, it will be a center for Jewish culture, connection, and community. As IU continues to celebrate diversity, Hillel will serve as a bridge to Jewish identity and global Jewish life.
